My highly sensitive son Lex made it very clear from an early age what he did and did not want to wear. Many clothes remained unused in the closet. I found it difficult to find clothes that were soft enough and that didn't bother him with labels, stitching or anything else.
IMPACT OF CLOTHING
I took the initiative to think about the impact of clothing on sensory sensitive children and sought contact with a fashion designer with experience in children's clothing with experience around sensory processing.
PRODUCT THAT WORKS
I wanted to make a product that would actually help sensitive children. That is why, together with Doctor of Psychology Wim Tops, I put together a focus group of therapists, pedagogues, speech therapists, teachers and experiential experts. Their tips and advice form the guideline for the SAM collection.
